We will send the team and equipment best suited to your moves. Your Quotes and BookingOur office is manned by a real person between the hours of 7.00 am to 11.00 pm 7 days per week. We will answer your call or will reply to your voicemail within 30 minutes of your call, email or text.Our office staff are experienced and will provide you with estimates where required. We do not provide fixed quoted for house moves. This is because no two house is the same, they may have a number of issues: access, easy or difficult. Driveway too narrow,  power lines too low for our truck, too many steps, and also the volume of stuff. Fact: some two bedroom places will fit in a small van, while other will require a 40 cubic meter truck- depends on the people, and how long they have lived there. Weather they enjoy collecting things, or are avid ardeners, or have children. In contrast you could have a busy career minded individual, who owns a t, and has minimal furniture.Due to the large volume of inquiries on a daily basis, it is not always practical for us to visit your place, to give you a quote. We may do this if your move is especially large, or you are moving out of town.Fixed price quotes are given for:Single Item moves- like Piano, Spa pool or one item moveOut of town movesWritten QuotesWe are happy to provide written quotes for your move, when requested. We can also visit your office and give you a written quote or Moving your office to a new location. For office moves, we can either quote on an hourly basis or on a fixed price basis. Fact: WINZ quotes & quotes required where employer or someone else is paying for the move- We are happy to do quotes, but will not come out to view. We find that people often get quotes to get paid from WINZ or whoever is paying, then do the move themselves. Movers Insurance- FactsOwners Risk- Yes all items moved are done at owners risk. All moving companies do this. Reason is that moving furniture is a risky business, and most items being moved are second hand, and as such there is no guarantees as to its condition before furniture movers start moving it.The Carriage of goods act allows movers to opt out by getting customers to sign the “owners Risk Clause”.  Once you have signed this, there is no consumer guarantees act protection against damage or losses.  If you don’t sign, the movers may refuse to do the move.If you want furniture movers to guarantee against scratches and dents, then the movers will have no choice but to inspect every piece before loading it on to the truck. Result…very costly and time consuming home move,remember they charge by the hour!All movers provide FREE TRANSIT INSURANCE!! Yes that is correct, this will cover you for any damages if the truck is involved in an accident. This provision is a requirement under the carriage of goods act, and as such, is not a competitive advantage over any other company. Every one has this, and no one provides cover aside from this, unless you pay the premiums.If you really need something covered by insurance- it is best to talk to your contents provider before the move or some companies will offer you a one day moving insurance cover- which you will have to purchase beforehand.Movers are ExpensiveReally? Lets look at what you are paying for: 2 experienced movers, truck running costs- fuel, Road user charges ( could be up to 30c per KM travelled), their time to get to your place and their time to get back home or the next job, GST& Income tax . Approximately 50% of what you pay will end up in direct taxes- GST- 15%, INCOME TAX- 20-30%, Road user charges 3-4%, ACC levies 3to4%.After this, we have to account for fuel, overheads such as office, advertising on google and elsewhere, uniforms and other aintenance of truck and equipment, before we pay our wages. All the while, we have to also ensure that the rates are competitive or we will not get any work.You also have to appreciate that movers, due the very nature of their work, cannot work full time hours. This is because; at the most they will book 2 to 3 jobs per day. If they book more than this, they will not be able to guarantee if they can get to your job on time. If the first job runs late, everyone else will be late.There are no guarantees as to how long the jobs are going to turn out to be. It could be 1 hr or it could be 6. Some days our guys will work for 4 to 6 hours and other days up to 11 hours. To keep them employed and wanting to come back to work everyday, Moving companies have to pay removalists full time wages.What are your options?Hire a trailer/ truck and get your mates to help?
